Always Be Mine - Part 110

Randhir was trying to position himself properly so that he could view what was happening in Sanyukta's room.. Yes, he had once again climbed up the wall, his favorite place.. He could see Kishore at her door.. "Sanyukta.." he called her.. Sanyukta was so stunned to see her dad right in front of her.. One part of her felt so happy that her dad is fine and standing right infront of her but the other part worried her.. She thought he might have been back again to cause her more pain.. Her mixed reactions stopped her from saying anything.. She somehow gathered courage and welcomed him.. "Papa.. Come inside na.."
The word "Papa" out of her mouth, made him feel more guilty.. He felt as if he was standing in a ring of fire.. He slowly walked upto her.. Randhir was more tensed than Sanyukta herself.. His eyes had forgotten to blink.. He somehow prepared himself to jump inside the room in case if he senses something wrong..
"Sanyukta please forgive me for what I did to you.." Kishore sounded apologetic.. Randhir's words were ringing in his mind.. He did not want to hurt her by exposing himself, so he continued " I have never given you true love. I took your custody just for the sake of my own selfishness.. But trust me Sanyukta, I love you more than my son now.. You showed me what true love is all about.. The things you have done for me, I would never ever be able to do that even to Ankit.. I know asking for forgiveness will not erase all my deeds but it will altleast give me a sense of relief.. I would strongly recommend you not to forgive me though.. You have made me a proud father today.. I owe you my entire life for that feeling you have given me.. From my being my little girl, you have grown up to be a icon.. You are all I have now.. I will not invite you to come home.. If you ever forgive me, please do come and visit us once Atleast for your moms sake.. What I said here is real nothing is fake.. I love you beta.. I love you so much.." When Kishore stopped, a gush of tears escaped Sanyukta's eyes.. This was all she wanted to hear from her dad so far.. Not all of it, only the last few words of what he said.. In fact, that was the only thing that touched her heart more than anything else.. Seeing her cry, Randhir's heart wept.. She rushed into her dad's arms.. "I love you too Papa.. Love you so much.."
It was a father daughter moment.. For daughters, their dads would always be their first heroes.. They would want a husband like him.. They would trust everything their dad did or said.. Dad would be their Gods.. Nobody can match mothers love but there's one more thing that can't be matched.. It's a fathers love.. He may not be expressive as a mother but he would love his kid more than anybody in this world.. For the next few minutes, there were tears all around but nobody was sad..
Randhir wiped his tears with his hand, forgetting that he was clinging onto something.. The moment he realized he was already half a way down with a big "Ahhh..!" That sound broke their hug and Sanyukta at once realized where it came from.. She rushed to the window, only to find Randhir comfortably placed in Parth's arms.. Parth had known that Randhir would do such a thing so he had come after him.. Randhir was waving a kiss and a hi at Sanyukta from below with a smile.. He turned to look at Parth "A friend in need is a friend indeed hai na Parth!" Parth who was already frowning, dropped Randhir to a floor with a loud thud and said "Ha" Sanyukta burst out laughing seeing this and it seemed all her worries had vanished into thin air because of that one person lying on the ground.. He was her ANGEL.. Randhir forgot to scream of his pain once he saw her laughing..
Sanyukta and Kishore came down when Kishore apologized to Randhir as well and invited them both to come home.. Randhir smiled "Sure" and they both hugged.. Kishore bud them goodbye and went back with a sense of relief..
Later that evening, they were doing group studies.. They had screwed up so many things as a group so it will take a group effort to save them in exams.. They had borrowed notes and video lectures from the regular class goers.. While Randhir and Sanyukta were trying to gasp the things they had missed Parth and Vidushi seemed fearless.. Their mantra was either study fully or study none.. They were wanted to be in the middle ground..
Exam day came.. They wished each other good luck.. "I ll beat you this time around too Mrs Sanyukta Shekawat.." Randhir winked.. "Dekhte hai Mr. Shekawat" Sanyukta smiled.. First few exams went well.. They were on the last day of their exams.. It was a tough and an important paper.. The moment Parth saw the question paper he smiled at Vidushi.. "Viduuuu.. Mujhe samaj aa gaya..." Vidushi felt relieved thinking they had got what hey had studied the previous night but when the paper was handed over to her, her eyes opened wide.. "Parthhhh... Mujhe tho yeh Kuch aur hi lag raha hai.." She squealed.. Parth was still smiling.. "Hum dono ko koi alag nai kar sakta re.. Agle Saal bhi aayenge hum arrears dene.." "Whatttt!" She let out a loud scream.. "Kal meine Jo book utaya na, woh pichle Saal ke maths book tha.. Hum dono ne raat bar Usi se padai ki 😁 pyar anda hota hai, suna hai meine par Ab experience bhi kar liya.. Dekho.. Kal Tum mere paas thi aur meine galti se galat book uta liya 😜 Ab Mein akele nai dubunga.. Dubenge bhi hum dono ek saath 😘" Parth was so cool.. Vidushi hit his hand hard.. "Mental kahika.. Ab Ek aur saal kaise jhelungi mein iss engineering ko.." She laid her head in the table and decided to take a nap.. All she was going to do was anyway to fill the paper with her name and roll number.. That would take only half a minute..
Sanyukta tried hard to wake her up.. When she failed to do so, she signalled Randhir who threw a scale at her.. She woke up with a frown.. "Kya hai?" She asked.. "Likho Kuch.." Randhir said in a low tone... "Arey iss mental ke Wajah se Sab Kuch satyanash ho gaya.. I don't know anything.. Mein kya likhu?" She threw a angry glance at Parth, who was still busy in filling the paper with something.. "Kuch bhi likho.. Tumhari ajab prem ki gajab kahani hi likho.. Par likho.." Randhir said.. With that, Vidushi opened her sheet and started filing up.. Parth even got additional sheets.. All 3 wondered what on earth he would have written that he needed an additional sheet..
"Time's up..!" The examiner announced, thus announcing their final few moments in FITE.. It had been a wonderful journey.. Neither Sanyukta nor Randhir would ever forget a single moment spent in it.. There was total silence when they walked out the exam hall.. They looked back to find the chairs and tables come alive.. The moments they spent there, their happiness, their cries everything just everything fell in front of their eyes..
When Sanyukta was about to get lost in the past, Randhir's voice brought her to the present.. "There's still time to get nostalgic.. But before that, we have a task to do.. Probably Dream team's final task.. Come on, let's do it.." He smirked, leaving others confused..

Always Be Mine - Part 109

Parth dragged the guy aside before he or Vidushi could react.. After he went fairly away from Vidushi he lowered his tone and looked into the guy's eye.. "Dekh bhai.. Tujhe Vidushi achi Lagi na? Koi baat nai.. Iske liye fight vagara karne Ki zaroorat nai.. Mein khud usse tumhare haatho mein saumpatha hu thik hai.. Khush raho.. Jao leke Jao usse.."
"Arey bhai.. You don't want me to be happy or what.. I don't want your girl friend.. Uss pareshaani ko apne paas hi rako... " having said that he bursted out laughing.. Vidushi neared them with a puzzled look.. Parth punched him once again on his face.. This time the punch was even more harder "Kameena.. Bada aaya mere girlfriend ko Mujhse cheenne"
"Kya hua Parth?" She was concerned.. The guy opened his mouth to say something when another punch landed on his face.. "Bhai Ab thik hai?" This time it was Randhir.. Poor guy couldn't argue more and left the place immediately.. Randhir and Parth hi-fied as if they had achieved something..
"Why the hell did you guys hit him?" Vidushi yelled.. "What the hell Vidushi! That guy was here looking at you.. How can we just stand and watch?" Randhir shouted back..
"Arey he just came here to look at notice board not me.." She said.. "That is why even I was shouting.. Notice board Dekha Tum logo ne?"
"Notice board?!? Woh kaha par hai?" Randhir turned right and started to search..
"Randhir wahan tho Mechanical Lab hai.. Notice board yaha hai.." She pointed to her left.. "Yaha kab shift kiya in logo ne?" Randhir argued.. Notice board was always there to his left it's just that he had forgotten everything due to the disturbing things that had happened with him in the past few weeks..
Both Randhir and Parth looked at each other in disbelief.. "Whatttttttt! Exams? So soon?" Parth screamed "Kisse puchke lete hai yeh decisions? Kisine mujhe consult nai kiya, Arey inform bhi nai kiya.." Randhir's "Would be" marks were dancing before him "gol gol shape me" "0".. He was shocked "Woh bhi do din me? Par Parth abhi abhi tho we wrote exams na phir Itne jaldi kaise?" Randhir squealed..
They heard a voice behind their backs.. "Abhi abhi nai Randhir.. You had your exams 6 months back.. And this notice is here for the past one month.. Woh kya hai na.. VIP's in dream Team just got time to notice the notice board.. If you had finished sasur damad drama, can we concentrate on the upcoming exams now?" It was Vardhan sir.. He kept proving the fact that nothing goes unnoticed from his eyes, NOTHING..
Prof. Vardhan neared Randhir.. "By the way Randhir.. You go right it's the Lab, first floor left it's your class.. If you take left it's the Library.. I can take you guys on a tour of FITE if you wish.. Just to make you all comfortable with the surroundings.. Shall wee?" He teased..
"No sir thank you.. " Randhir left in a jiffy... Parth and Vidushi turned RIGHT "Sir we are going to the library.. See you.."
Prof. Vardhan shook his head with a slight smile.. "Kuch nai ho sakta Dream Team ka.. !"
"Gone.. Totally gone.. Iss baar tho Sanyukta Mujhe beat karke rahegi.. Mujhe tho Electrical Engineering ka E tak Yaad nai hai.." Randhir was talking to himself.. Suddenly something struck him.. "Arey Mein tho Mechanical Engineering kar raha hu.. 😟 Course tak Yaad nai hai Mujhe.. Bhul Jao Randhir bhul Jao Rank No. 1 tho nikal Gaya samjho haathon se.." While he was busy talking to himself, he noticed a familiar figure standing opposite to him.. It resembled Kishore Agarwal..
Randhir cursed himself " Oh God! Ab yahi hona Baaki tha.. I am hallucinating aur mere hallucination me mere Biwi ke jagah uska baap.. 😑 Jaha dekhu Wahi dikhta hai.. I have lost it.. Completely.." He closed his eyes and tried to move away while he heard someone. Along out to him.. "Randhir beta.."
"What the hell?!? Can I even hear voices in my hallucination? Or... Is it for real?" He turned to face him while Kishore was still standing there.. " You are here for real? I mean seriously? Sharam naam ki koi cheez hai.. Suna hai bhi tumne? Phir chale aaye Muh utake jo bhi hua kal uske baad bhi? Isse Pehle koi tumhe yaha dekh le, just nikal Jao yaha se.." Randhir himself felt he was behaving a typical sasur in a Saas Bahu story but Kishore hadn't given him a choice.. He had always surrounded him and Sanyukta no matter where they went.. More than the lovely moments they have shared the lonely moments.. It was taking a heavy toll on him..
"No Randhir.. Please let me talk for a while.. I am here to apologize for all my cheap behavior.. Seriously trust me.." Kishore kept pleading.. Randhir looked around for a while, went near Mr. Agarwal and lowered his tone "Look Mr. Agarwal, if you have any grudge on me, I ll let you know the time and place.. You can come and torture me all you want.. But I just want you to leave Sanyukta alone.. She doesn't deserve this.. She doesn't deserve any of this.. You want money? I can arrange how much ever you want.. Just please leave us alone.." It was very unusual of Randhir to plead to someone.. He never did it for once all his life but when it came to her, when it came to his "HER" it was all different.. He could reach the Mount Everest at the same time he was willing to touch the deep Mariana Trench, all for her..
Parth who was watching all this from behind, came forward.. "Randhir.. Yeh yaha kya kar raha hai? Already exams ka tension hai, Ab yeh? I don't like his face, please ask him to get out.." He said..
"I was just asking him to do the same.." Randhir replied..
"Randhir.. I am not here to justify any of the things I did or said.. I am simply here to apologize to both of you.. Once I do it, I ll go away from your lives.. I promise you that.. But please let me apologize.." Kishore had tears in his eyes
"Randhir.. This guy is really upto something I am telling you.. I smell something fishy" Parth was concerned..
"That's your girlfriend Vidushi Parth.. Look.. She is eating fish.." Randhir pointed to the corner of that room.. "Oho yeh bhi na.." Parth rushed to her "Viduuuu Mujhe bhi do na" Vidushi just flew from that place in a flash..
Randhir turned to Kishore.. "I know I can trust you this time.. I have seen both fake and fair tears.. I am an expert differentiating between them both.. Though I do not wish to believe you even in my wildest dreams, your tears somehow seems real to me today.. Go to her, talk to her, if she slaps take it.. I bet she won't though coz she still loves you.. Fix what you screwed.. Assemble the pieces of her, that you had earlier dismantled and get the hell out of here.. You have 30 minutes and it starts now.." Randhir looked at his watch.. Kishore was already on his way to Sanyukta's room, with a wide smile and thank you expression on his face..
Randhir watched him leave.. He secretly hoped that his decision to let him talk to her would turn out to be a right one.. He couldn't let him talk to her alone though, but he can't even be present there.. It was her moment.. He did not wish to intrude.. His mind was thinking fast.. "I know where I should be going.." He smirked..
TO BE CONTINUED.. Ah, I know you there had been a long wait.. And I am really sorry for making you guys wait.. I ll try to update in weekends from now on.. Please do leave your comments to let me know that you still haven't forgotten me.. 😉 I ll be looking forward to interact.. Love you all 😘 #Ash

Always Be Mine - Part 108

"Use the back door while leaving.. I don't want to take even a remote chance of her seeing you.. Do this as a favor.." Randhir said to Kishore..

"Sanyukta tum bhi? Tum bhi isme shaamil ho? Sab log milke saazish kiya na mere against" Vidushi kept blabbering.. Randhir who had just stepped out of the room, saw Parth peeping outside from a half closed door. He grabbed him inside and locked the door.. "Pagal Kahika.. Kya kar raha tha waha?TB patient ke tarah khase ja raha tha.. Usse shaq ho gaya tho.. Aur yeh kya? Tumhe kidney failure hai, sar pe bandage kyu banda tu ne? Acha hua Sanyukta ko shaq nai hua.. Warna, aaj tho mere haaton se bahut buri tarah se pittha tu.. Pagal.." Randhir just blasted out all the emotions that had been sunk in him. His heart was in his mouth, when Parth was performing like a lame actor, trying to grab an Oscar. "Sirf 10 rupaiya diya tha na meine, fir tu 1000 rupaiya ke acting kyun kar rahe tey waha?"

Parth finally managed to release himself from Randhir's grip and removed the bandage that he had wrapped around his mouth. "Arey bhai woh sab chod.. Dekh bahar kaun kada hai.." Randhir peeped out of the door reluctantly to find Vidushi and Sanyukta conversing.. "Oh Shit..Vidushi kya kar rahi hai yaha? Listen, I ll handle Sanyukta.. Tum apni girl friend ko sambhal lena.." Randhir hurriedly pulled his mobile out of his pocket..

"Nai Nai bhai.. Hum swap kar lete hai..Mein Sanyukta ko sambhalunga aur tu Vidushi ko thik hai..Bhai please samjho.. Jab tu ne call kiya na, Vidushi hamare hi room me thi.. Jaldi jaldi mein usse andar hi lock karke aa gaya mein... Usko milunga na tho mein gaya" Parth pleaded..

Randhir dialed her number and nodded his head in a NO and said 'Ha Sanyukta.. Its urgent.. Mujhe parking lot me milo".. "Ok Randhir" she obeyed.. The moment Sanyukta disconnected the call, she brushed past Vidushi and ran towards the parking lot. Randhir winked at Parth.. "Mujhe pata hai. Parth Sambhal lega "

"Mujhe tho koi value hi nai hai.. Mein baat kar rahi hu yaha aur yeh ladki chali gayi.." Vidushi kept cribbing.. "Meine Parth ka phone trace kar diya.. Yahi kahi hai woh... " Her eyes fell on the hospital bed that was empty.. Aaj agar usse isi hospital mein admit nai karvayi na mere naam bhi vidushi nai.." she took an oath.. When she passed outside the door, Parth pulled her hand and grabbed her inside. His fate hadn't let him go that easy. He had forgotten to remove the bandages, and still posed to be the 50 year old.. Next moment, Vidushi was all over him.. He had always studied that there were 206 bones in a human body, but she was making him realize that by trying to break every bit of it. That moment, he had also discovered that Vidushi knew Karate and she knew only half of it. They say, what we try to become is what we become.. Here he was, being a live example. He had posed to be a fractured man, and here she was fracturing every bit of him, truly, madly and DEEPLY.. When she was finished, matlab when he was totally finished, she took a deep long breath.. "Kisko haat lagaya re budde.. Mein Vidushi Kumar sirf Parth Kashyap ki hun samjha.. Don't mess with me.."

There arose a feeble voice from the remains of Parth.. 'Vid... Vidu.. " his throat was aching.. Vidushi had heard this voice somewhere.. "Yeh tho Parth ka voice hai.." she moved closer to him..

His eyes were watering.. "Vidu.." he feebly responded.. "Kya aap Parth ke rishtedaar ho?" she asked..

'Arey chudail.. Mein hun Parth Kashyap.. Utake le jaa mujhe aur admit kar abhi warna murder charges lagenge tujhpe.." Parth squealed..

Rest happened after that, was history... Vidushi took him in her arms and rushed towards the hospital bed(remember, the one, seeing which she swore?!?)..

Sanyukta went running to the parking lot, where Randhir was waiting for her.. She rushed into his arms at once and he embraced her with both arms. "Randhir I know why you brought me here.. Papa is fine.. Yeh koi aur hai.. But you know what, You are the BEST.. You know how to handle any situation na.. You knew I hate him.. You also knew that his death would thrash me apart.. You did the right thing by bringing me here.. I needed this badly..The feeling of losing someone we love is the worst feeling on earth.. And the feeling of knowing that they wouldn't leave us and it was all a misunderstanding is the BEST.." she kept saying, while all Randhir could manage was a smile.. "Who else can understand that pain more than me.. " his heart wept.. Kishore could see all of it happening right in front of his eyes. Sanyukta referred to a creature like him as a "loved one". That was more than enough to kill him..

"Ab rona dona band karo... Mujhe sirf pyaar hi nai, Engineering bhi karna hai.. Samjhi.." he teased her.. "Chale.." and offered his hand.. She clinged onto it.. "Chalo"

The ride back to FITE was something more than bliss.. She held him close, and laid her head on his back. Bike seemed so light.. Initially, he had felt so heavy.. May be because of the fact, that he had carried his pain along with him..Now, it all seemed to have vanished.. All that remained was him and Sanyukta as Sandhir.. This 4 years had taught him almost all the feelings one human being would have.. Initially, he knew only one emotion called Anger.. Now he was well acquainted with every other feeling and what he felt for Sanyukta, was something out of the world, a feeling that was yet to be named.

It took almost 10 days for Parth to recover totally.. Unlike Randhir, Parth had gotten acquainted with only one feeling named "Fear" whenever he saw Vidushi. That sometimes worked in favor of her.

Their lives were moving on smooth without any issues.. Randhir had to solve more personal problems than the ones in Engineering.. They had finally got some time to relax.. They had driven all the villains out of their lives. But together, they still had one task that was left unattended. It needed Dream Team's intervention..

One fine morning, Parth woke up to Vidushi's loud shrieking.. Parth rushed out of his room, followed by Randhir.. Vidushi was standing near the main hall with a worried face, there was a guy standing beside her.. Parth went up straight and landed a punch on his face and pulled him aside "Kaun hai be tu? Kyun pareshaan kar rahe ho mere Vids ko?"

Always Be Mine - Part 107

Kishore could hardly believe what was happening right in front of him.. "Hadn't I devised a foolproof plan??" he wondered.."Yeah you did.. Just that, the foolproof plan was being devised by a fool himself" Randhir answered, as if he had read Kishore's mind.
"How did you..?" before Kishore could actually finish the sentence, Randhir intervened "You are feeling sad about your kidneys dont you? Dont worry they are just doing fine flushing the useless shit out of you. How I wish they could flush the shit out of your heart as well.. And moreoever, you gave me the honourable "Brain Tumor" cause you knew I had brain.. But I couldn't do the same with a brainless brat like you. Thats the reason why I chose your Kidneys.." he laughed sarcastically.. Kishore gathered some courage and managed to speak "Randhir.. What the hell is this? I will tell everything to Sanyukta. I will reveal her the truth. She will hate you for doing this with me" he tried to act normal.
Randhir got up fiercely with a "Sshhhhh...! Not a word more. You are a pathetic actor so stop acting. As I said earlier, your game is over..!" Kishore knew he couldnt do anything more. He had been cornered.
"By the way dont put too much of stress on your petty little brain.. Before your kidneys actually fail, let me know what exactly had happened.. You know what, us din jab mein yaha aaya tha, my head was aching like hell. Probably, due to the hangover the previous night. I had my blood test done and boom the very evening I was summoned here and made to listen "You are suffering from Brain Tumor last stage" and the way the doctor announced it was like "Son, You have won a crore rupee in lottery" Let me be frank with you. You indeed fooled me that day. For a while, I was convinced that I was going to die. I suspect things, I dont trust things blindly. But that day I couldnt suspect anyone or anything. My brain was totally occupied by Sanyukta and hence suspicion couldnt make its way inside. The way back, and the next couple of days, all I had to do was to think "What will happen to Sanyukta? Will she smile after I go? Will she become an Engineer?" I foolishly prayed to God to extend my life to couple of months more, so that at least I could see her become what she always aspired for. It was not the Tumour you created but the fear of leaving her alone that was going to kill me. Everything was going fine as you had planned. You could have left it that way. But no, you had to ruin your own plan. You had to come in.." he paused and smiled..
Kishore still seemed clueles..
"Aapko yaad hai? Us din aap mere college aaye tey.. As they show in the old hindi movies, letter ko tabhi udna tha aur aapke charano me aake ghirna bhi tha.. Thik hai mein maan bhi leta hu.. You read the whole damn thing and didnt show a bit of surprise in your face. You seemed so relaxed. Something seemed fishy. Most importanly, nowhere in the hospital records did I ever mention my college name.
No way the letter would have reached me, Unless some donkey which knew my address, deliberately handed it over in the reception. You came, you threatened and you left. It all seemed staged to me. A mere blood test cannot confirm a disease. No way, someone can say how long the patient would love just by testing a few ounces of blood, no scan, no further tests, no medicines, no hopes too. I was told that I would die straight on my face. No sane doctor in this world would do that. Since then, I wanted to make my every move very carefully. I had a feeling that I was being watched. I contacted the hospital nurse via a different number. To my surprise, she had already been looking for my number in order to contact me. She told me everything. How you visited the doctor, paid him money and staged all this. That's it. You were done a long time back. But I wanted to play it your way, so I had the doctor work for me. Did everything in your way, but changed the Brain to Kidney and the victim from Randhir to Kishore.. Thats it!" he finished.
In the corner of his eyes, he could Sanyukta reacting to the shock she had received. The nurse said "He would die in a couple of hours, and hence wanted to meet you.." The moment she heard it, she collapsed. Randhir wanted to rush out in order to help her but the nurse signalled via the screen that she would take care. Randhir turned to face Kishore in anger. Another screen flashed before them. Someone was lying on the hospital bed. Randhir received a call "She would be there any moment. Be ready." he said.
"Dont worry.. Sab thaiyar hai.. Kishore saab kaise ho aap?" Parth teased. He had disguised himself to pose as a middle aged man.
Kishore was wondering what was happening around him. Randhir squealed "Parth.. Fix that thing in your face properly. Its about to fall off. Aaj kuch gadbad hua na, dekh lena.."
"Randhir sab changa.. Fikar not" he disconnected the call.
Nurse splashed water on her face and she slowly opened her eyes. They were moist "I will donate my kidneys. Please save him" Nurse nodded her head slowly in a No. Sanyukta couldnt control her sorrow. Yes she hated him, she hated him to the core but could never think of him leaving her altogether. She felt helpless "Can I see him?" she pleaded. Randhir so wanted to rush upto her, hug her and comfort her and tell her "I would not let anything wrong happen to you. Not until I live atleast." Nurse led her into another room where Parth was pretending to be sick. Sanyukta rushed upto him and hugged him "Papa.." He turned to face her "Beti.." he coughed. Sanyukta moved back swiftly "Kaun hai yeh?"
"Yeh Rakesh Agarwal hai. Aapke papa.." nurse smiled. "Arey nai yeh mere papa nai hai.." Parth coughed wildly, he had bandages all over his face, he had covered it up completely in order to make sure Sanyukta doesnt identify him. "Do din me meri 5 saal ki beti itni badi kaise ho gayi?" he coughed.
Nurse went near Parth "Aap hi ne kaha na aapki beti FITE me padti hai. Inhe hum FITE se hi laaye hai sir ji"
"Arey meine kaha meri beti FIGHT karti hai mujhse, FITE me nai padti.." he coughed again.. Randhir urged over phone "Pagal Parth.. Tumhe Kidney failure hua hai Tuberculosis nai zyada khasna mat.."
"Sorry There seems to be a misunderstanding. We are extremely sorry" Nurse apologized. Sanyukta wiped her tears away and proceeded near Parth, whose legs and hands were now trembling.
"Parth relax.. Kuch gadbad mat karna" Randhir warned over phone, that was lying below his pillow.
"Uncle. I am so sorry to hear about your condition. Can I help you in anyway?" she asked.. Parth was finding it difficult to breathe. "I think this bandage is hindering your breath. Shall I help you remove it?" she placed her hand on his face. Parth screamed "Noooo.." Nurse somehow convinced Sanyukta and took her away from Parth.
Kishore was stunned to see the way she had behaved upon knowing that he was sick. Randhir turned to face him "That's Sanyukta for you. Waise, I know, nothing would happen inside you even after witnessing all of this. I am not expecting it either. You staged all of this, to make her hate me but I showed you how much she loves you still. That was my punishment for you. I am forgiving you for all that you've done. No way I would do that. But I cant deny a fact, you did something good for me. I want to thank you for that.." Randhir smiled..
"So far I knew I loved her, I loved her so much.. But you made me realize that I love her beyond my death. My love is way beyond this universe. Even death couldn't occupy my brain more than SHE did. So, a big THANK YOU to Mr.Kishore" he left him behind with a cute smile on his face.
Sanyukta came out with a happy face. Nurse apologized again, Sanyukta didnt mind it much. "Please let me know if I can help him in anyway.. I will definitely do so.." She said and bid her goodbye with a smile. She had only taken two blocks outside the hospital, she heard some footsteps. She turned to look at a figure which seemed known to her. "Kaun tha woh?" she wondered "And where is Randhir?" she pulled out her mobile to call him and just then dashed upon someone. "Vidushi.. Tum kya kar rahi ho yaha?"
"Shit Vidushi...! I am done.." Parth pulled himself back into the room.

Always Be Mine - Part 106

Randhir had to make up some story in order to convince Sanyukta to go along with him to the hospital. It wasn't easy for him to lie to her. Still he had to do it, for her own good. He reached for his mobile and dialed her number. In about a few seconds, she answered "Hey Handsome! My thoughts, so early in the morning? Hmmm, not bad.. Your romantic score is going up by every passing day.." she teased..
"Mornings may stop coming but my love for you will ever remain the same..!" he said, and he meant each and every inch of that line. She seemed so happy to have heard that from him..
"Randhir lagta hai aaj bahut ache mood me ho tum.. Kuch khaas baat?" she said, making her excitement, clearly evident in her tone.
"Haa.. Bahut khaas din hai aaj.. Tumne jo khoya woh tumhe wapas milne wala hai, toh hui na aaj khaas?" he mumbled
"Matlab?" she seemed perplexed..
"Matlab pata chalega kuch hi der me.. Chalo mere saat.. I ll pick you up in 15" having said that, he disconnected the call, not willing to continue anymore.. Not that he couldn't but he didn't want to.. It made her feel more excited. Only if she understood what he actually meant by that.
Sanyukta got ready in no time.. Something kept her feel excited.. Randhir was right there, outside her hostel room in 15 minutes.. He called out for her. She looked outside her window.. There he was, her Randhir, standing tall, in white tshirt and blue jeans. The sight of him, in white, just stopped her breath for a while. He looked dashing, nope, dashing is not the word.. He looked smashingly handsome. She jumped like a little girl and rushed towards her cupboard, pulled a white kurta out of it and quickly squeezed herself into it.. Somehow she felt like matching his attire today and rushed down the stairs. Randhir pulled his phone and dialed "Hmmm we are starting now.. Will reach there within an hour" he said and disconnected the call, before Sanyukta could spot him on phone.
"Shall we?" he asked her, faintly smiling.. "Yes, we can" she got on his bike and it started, the ride, the one that gave their relationship a different direction when they were on it last time. It wasn't exactly the same scenario now but it did bring some old memories before her eyes, she saw them rolling.. She leaned sideways and gazed at the mirror, hoping to get a good glance of him.. But Randhir kept adjusting the mirror so as to make sure she never managed to catch up with his eyes. His lips could lie, but his eyes couldn't, atleast not to her. Randhir had so many thoughts in his mind.. It could happen either way, the way he thought it would or the way he hoped it wouldn't. Either way, he just wanted to make sure that one thing never happened.. He never wanted her to get hurt, not even in the slightest way possible, not until he lived.
Sanyukta spotted the unusual silence that existed between them. It was only his bike, that did all the talking and he somehow managed to stay quiet. She moved a bit closer to him, hugged him from back, with both her hands, laid her head on his shoulder and smiled. Randhir could feel her lips taking an upper curve, above his shirt. He caught her glance sideways and called her "Sanyukta"
"Hmmm" she mumbled..
"Promise me something.. Will you?" he asked.. Sanyukta pulled herself back from him and said "Of course I will.. Tell me what it is"
Randhir brought his bike to a halt, by gently pressing the brakes and turned to look at her "Dont let that smile ever fade from your face.. Will you?"
Sanyukta was surprised to hear him say that. He had been saying these sort of things very often quite lately. "Tell me.. Will you?" he asked again.. She put on a stern expression on her face "No Randhir I wont.. I promise" she whispered..
Randhir reached out for her face.. "When I said Ever, I meant EVER.. I dont find that smile now here" he pointed to her lips. She wore that smile yet again on her face and said "NEVER EVER" That smile gave him the much needed fuel within himself to go on, to face the world. He kick started his bike and it stopped only at the entrance of the CITY hospital.
Randhir and Sanyukta headed out to the hospital. Sanyukta seemed pretty shocked.. She kept asking him "Randhir why have we come to the hospital? Is everything okay? Please tell me damn it.. Is everything fine?"
Randhir gazed through the parking space, while his eyes were fixed on a particular vehicle. He asked Sanyukta to calm down "Sanyukta.. Its just a normal visit.. I have my friend admitted here. So thought we should just check on him once. Thats it. Relax" he took her inside. When they reached the lobby, Randhir got a call. It read "Daemon calling" Randhir picked up at once "Hello.."
"Good boy.. So you are here.. Your task is half finished. I appreciate it. Anyways, just leave her over there and get inside the third room you find in the next right. I am waiting for you right there" Kishore said.
Randhir picked up a fast pace so that she couldn't hear what he was talking.. "Why should I leave her here? What are you upto?" he mumbled.
"Dont ask too many questions young boy.. Just get in.." He disconnected the call. Randhir was hell frustrated, still he didnt let his frustration show up on his face.
"Randhir kya hua?" Sanyukta seemed concerned.
"Kuch nai..Tum yahi ruko.. Mein abhi aata hu.." Randhir convinced her..
She protested "Par kyun.. Mein bhi aungi tumhare saat.. Bas"
"Sanyukta.. Listen to me.. You trust me right?" he placed his hand below her chin and lifted it up. She nodded in a yes.
"Then stay right here.. I ll be right back" he said, making her sit in a chair over there and left for the place Kishore pointed out. Before he could turn right, he turned back and signalled her to wear a smile, she flashed out smiling. He smiled at her as well and faded into the right turn. That made her feel scared for a moment, but she recovered the very next moment "Nothing can go wrong with me.. My Randhir is right here.." she kept smiling.
When Randhir reached the room, Kishore was readily waiting for him. Randhir closed the door behind him carefully and walked upto him. "As you said I have got her over here, if you promise me, not to hurt her, there wouldn't be any problem. I will convince her to go with you myself. So far all I wanted to see was her smile, and now all I want to remember is her smile too" he looked down..
Kishore smiled.. "You may very well finish the sentence. All you wish to remember last is her smile too. Isnt it?" he made fun of him "Love and Bull shit, I just dont get whats there in it that people go crazy in love. Seriously you guys are very funny" he laughed again.
"Love is not something a brainless donkey can understand. So I dont expect you to understand love" Randhir fumed in anger, but just controlled his nerves at the right time "Anyways, just hand over the papers to me. I ll talk to her"
"You are really funny.. You know that?" Kishore laughed again, this time, it didnt feel right to Randhir. "You think I am gonna get her without telling her your little secret? Oh thats wrong isn't it? I kept one secret away from her, and that costed me my daughter. Then how will I commit the same mistake again? I wouldnt do that. I want to be a responsible father. I want to tell my daughter that her classmate cum husband would be dead soon and she would again be just my daughter very soon. Yeah, she will find it hard at first, but then she ll deal with it. She is strong. After all, you made her strong and I thank you for that.." When Kishore finished Randhir's breath stopped for a while.
"What ...are... you.. going.. to.. do.. now?" Randhir yelled..
Kishore dialed a number and said "Do it..!" A screen opened before them in a flash. Randhir's eyes were fixed on the room that was visible the other side. He could see Sanyukta in there, the nurse and the doctor he was tending to. It was clearly evident that the people in the other room were not able to see/hear them, but Randhir could. Kishore had a calm expression on his face. Randhir turned to his side "What's thisssssss?" he squealed.
"So Randhir Singh Shekawat.. Are you ready? Of course you should be.. And here you go.. Now she will announce to Sanyukta that you have got the tumor up your brain. Just watch.. Watch your loved one break, right in front of your eyes. Witness your Sanyukta get shattered into pieces. That's the punishment I am giving you for interfering in my life" he said that and looked at Randhir with a damn expression on his face.
The nurse spoke and the room froze.. "Sorry to say Sanyukta.. You have to be strong. This is a tough time but you have to live with it"
Sanyukta's eyes opened wide.. "Whats happening?" she asked..
Kishore was happy that finally the moment he had been waiting for, has arrived. He took great pleasure in seeing his daughter get hurt. Such a psychopath he had become. The nurse announced.. "Your father has got both his kidneys damaged. He can barely live for a month or so. We are really sorry.."
The moment he heard that, Kishore had that look on his face, the one to watch out for. "What the hell is she saying?" he yelled at the screen. He heard someone giggling right behind his back, the giggles grew into laughter and that laughter into a much bigger one. No prizes for guessing, to whom that laughter belonged to. Yes, It was Randhir. "I can now understand the real meaning of being funny.. The look on your face says it all.. Man, seriously you look damn funny now" Randhir bursted out laughing..
Kishore turned to look at him.. Randhir gave him his usual smirk, but a naughty one this time "Hmmm Good show Mr. Agarwal. But I am sorry I had to shut it down. Brain tumor eh?" he giggled "No one can mess up my brain other than myself, hmm, and your daughter of course, definitely not some shitty disease.. You should have gone for something much better.. But yeah I do understand.. Your plans will be as flop as you yourself.. That's your standard.. I know and yeah by the way, Your Game is over" Randhir gave him his trademark smile, crossing his legs in a chair like a king, right infront of Kishore, who had now no ground below his feet "How on earth did he crack that?!?" He wondered..

Always Be Mine - Part 105

It was as if all hell had broken loose.. It was his worst nightmare, or even worse than that. Never had he once thought, that he would get to see his Ex-father in law, in such an awkward situation.. "Damn!! I am sure this is going to hurt me more than the tumor itself" his brain gushed.. Every single time they had met in the past, It was Randhir who held a upper hand. One could say, it was only Randhir who could keep the Senior Agarwal at bay.. But it was altogether a different scene today. Trump card was on his hands, it was as if fate had handed it over to him, to play with his life which was already a mess. Randhir had no choice but to keep his attitude low, atleast for a while "Give it to me.. " he paused.. "...Please" how he wished there wasn't a word "please"in the dictionary.

Kishore threw a wild laugh at him.. "So.. Finally, you have learnt manners, Young Man!" he smirked.. "Oh Shut up and Get lost..!" Randhir's heart was abusing him, still he couldn't let it slip from his mouth. He maintained his calmness "Why have you come here?" he proceeded towards Kishore, trying to grab the report from his hand, while Kishore moved backward "Ahh.. Not that easy boy.. I thought I should request you for this favour.. But I now I don't see any need for it.. Let me get straight to the point.. I want Sanyukta back in my home, as my daughter" Randhir was stunned to hear this from Kishore.. "Want Sanyukta back? As his daughter? Really? I cant believe this!" his mind warned him to be alert.. "This Agarwal guy is dangerous Randhir.. No way he would do something that doesn't benefit him"..

Randhir tried maintaining his calm.. "Now you remember that she is your daughter? How come all of a sudden? Mind explaining?"

"Look, though I behaved rudely with her, one cannot deny that she has been my daughter for the past 21 years and I have been her father. I have provided her with everything she could ever ask for" he put up a weak defense.

"Love? Care? Trust? What about these stuff? Have you provided her with any of the mentioned ones? Or do you even know the meaning of it? Did you ever behave nicely with her?" Randhir's eyes fumed with anger but his lips continued to dance sarcastically.

"Look, let me put it this way.. My wife isn't well. She wants to be with Sanyukta.. That's the reason why I am pleading you.. Call me selfish but I really don't care.. I want my wife alive and happy.. "he tried to sound emotional. "Anyways, Please chuck it.. I know how to behave and what to provide to my daughter.. I don't need to take classes from someone who is going to die soon.. After all, you wont be there to protect or provide her anymore.. So its better she stays with her family than someone like you, who's dying.." his words just struck his heart and had created a deep wound..

"No.. I won't give her back.. Now, get the hell out of here.." Randhir yelled at Kishore. He almost forgot the fact, that the reports were still in his hands.. "Listen you have to give her back.. Some day.. Why not now?" Kishore put up a worried face on how to tackle this angry young man.. While he was still thinking, Randhir's expression changed seeing something or may be someone. Sanyukta was approaching him from a distance. She had worn a cute smile on her face. Kishore was standing with his back facing Sanyukta, hence, she hadn't seen him yet.. Kishore turned back slightly and caught a glimpse of approaching Sanyukta.. The look on Randhirs face made it evident that something was wrong.. While Kishore was still wondering, Randhir jumped to make a futile attempt to grab the reports from Kishore.. That made it clear, what was wrong.. "So you haven't revealed your cute little secret to her.. Have you?" he winked mercilessly.

Randhir's heart was racing fast.. Rank No. 1 was running out of his mind, he had no idea how to stop him from revealing it to her.. She wouldn't be able to bear it, he knew.. She couldn't absorb the pain her, father had given her by dumping her so badly. How would she take it when she comes to know that even Randhir would be doing the same? Yeah, in a different way though, but still he was going to leave her alone. Kishore turned to face Sanyukta with a smile on his face "Sanyu beta.. Kaisi ho tum?"

Sanyukta was initially taken aback seeing Kishore, but then her expression changed, as she found a calm Randhir standing right beside him.. Had things been serious, she wouldn't have seen a quiet Randhir.. "I am fine.. Aap yaha?" she questioned.. Kishore tried to say something, but Randhir blurted out in a hurry.. "He has just come to see us Sanyukta.. Matlab.. To see you" he bit his lip.

"To see me?" Sanyukta gave a puzzled look at Kishore, who in turn smiled at Randhir.. "Hmmm yeah.. To see you and to tell you that.." he was about to say something..

"It's a yes..!" Randhir said in a hurry.. Randhir nodded his head in a yes, when Kishore turned to look at him with a smile..

"Whats a yes Randhir?" Sanyukta was confused..

"Oh.. That.. Hmmm.. He is sorry for what he did with you Sanyukta.. He feels genuinely sorry.. I was initially rude to him, but then, since he is regretting his mistakes, I thought it would be wise to give him a chance. So it's a yes from my side.. What do you say?" he looked at Sanyukta.. After a good two minutes of awkward silence between them, she spoke slowly "It isn't that easy Randhir.. Not for me atleast.. I am sorry" she left the place immediately.. Kishore was stunned to see her reaction.. Randhir pacified him.. "She needs some time.. I am sure she will agree.. I will take care of that part.."

"Hmmm I trust you!" Kishore smiled.. "Now give that to me!" Randhir put his hands forward to get the report back from Kishore..

"It ll stay with me, until she gets back to us..! Trust me, I wouldn't do any harm to you, until you keep your words.. Hope you understood what I said! 1 week is all you have..! " he warned again and left with a frown..

9 PM:

Sanyukta couldn't get Randhir's words out of his mind. "How could he say that? How can I forget what Mr.Agarwal did.. You do everything and one fine day, turn up with a sorry and expect everything to be alright, just like you expected. Nah, its not that easy.. I cant forget what he did.. Pata nai aaj Randhir ko kya ho gaya.. " she said that loud..

"Ho gaya nai.. Ho jayega..!" she heard a familiar voice, right behind her, emerging out of the window.. She rushed to check.. It was none other than her hero Randhir.. He had as usual climbed the window, but got himself stuck in the middle, from where he could neither jump down nor climb up.. "Randhirrrr..! Kar kya rahe ho tum? Pagal ho gaye ho kya? Call kar dete toh door open kar deti mein.. Aise aane ki kya zaroorat?" she kept talking, without lending a hand..

"Arey meri maa.. Pehle haat toh do, mein bach toh jaun.. Phir jee bar ke daat lena.." he hushed.. She lowered her hand a bit and pulled up him after a brief struggle.. Randhir landed perfectly on top of her, though placing his hands below her so that she couldn't get hurt.. Such was his care for her.. Randhir looked deep into her eyes "Princess.. You angry on me?" He smiled.. Sanyukta had been arguing with herself so far on how to fight with Randhir.. She had invented so many different fighting techniques but she hardly knew that his one smile could send her anger packing home.. Tonight, was no different.. His smile did the magic again.. Yet she pretended to be angry and pushed Randhir away from her.. "Ouch!" He cried.. She came back running to him.. "Randhir.. I am sorry.. I didn't mean to.. You are fine na?" He pretended to be hurt and when she neared him, pulled her closer with one hand and wrapped her with himself with the other.. He winked "Of course I am fine.. Tum Jo mere saat ho.." That's it, Sanyukta couldn't force herself to pretend anymore.. She hugged him tight with a happy smile.. "Randhirrrr.. You Monsterrrr..! I missed you and your smile.. I really did" She whispered..
"I am going to miss you for a lifetime Sanyukta..! I want to remember this night every moment that's left out in my life.. Gods, make this the best night but not last.." He whispered to himself, and stopped the lone tear that fell from his eyes, from reaching her.. He placed her on the bed, cuddled her, never let her go away from him even for a second.. She felt something, something different in his warmth.. Randhir was always known to be not so passionate yet elegant lover.. However, the things he did today, was more passionate than ever.. He was warm, caring, yet there was some urge in him that created panic to her.. "Randhir..!" She mumbled.. "Hmmm" he whispered in her ears.. "Is everything okay? Like really okay?" She looked deep into his eyes.. For a moment, he wanted to say everything to her, everything.. But the after reactions that would follow forced him not to say anything.. "I love you Sanyukta..!" He hugged her tight and that night was indeed something to remember. He never made love to her that night, but he never stopped loving her..
God knows, how he spent the rest of that week.. Wherever she went he followed her like her shadow.. Sometimes with her knowledge and many a times without her's.. He insisted to spend with her, all the nights that followed.. He had to convince Vidushi to stay with Parth so that he could stay with Sanyukta.. He never missed a chance to kiss her.. Never failed to gawk at her.. All he wanted to hear, see and feel was his love and love only.. Sanyukta liked his transformation of Randhir but something alerted her from within.. She chose to shut her conscience off for a while and chose to get wrenched in his love, that had taken a new avatar..
Until the fateful day came.. This 7 days had passed on like 7 seconds.. Kishore had called Randhir that morning, to remind him that the time he had given her had elapsed.. "Remember.. Your time's up?!" He laughed sarcastically.. "I know" Randhir cut him off.. "I am bringing her home.." He said..
"No.. Not to home.. Bring her to the CITY hospital..!" He said.. "What? Hospital? Why?" Randhir was shocked..
Ksihore spoke again.. "So that you don't act too smart.. In case if you do, your sweet little secret will be revealed to her then and there with the proof.." He warned..
"But what will I tell her?" He hurried.. "That's your problem.. Tell her some story and get her in.." He disconnected the call..
"Some story?" Randhir wondered...

Always Be Mine - Part 104

Randhir wished to delete the past couple of hours from his life.. He so wished to have his life back on track with his sweetheart by his side.. Rain poured down, stopped for a while and then started again.. Nothing seemed to have made any difference in his already ruined life.. He remembered someone saying "It's not a sin to fall down.. But make sure to pick yourself up before the rag pickers find you.. Don't surrender your life to your fate, make it vice versa if possible" Randhir stood up.. "I am not sure what's in store for me the next minute but this minute belongs to me and I will decide what to do in this minute.. I ll make her happy.. I ll give her all the happiness in the world.. I would definitely want her to miss me, to remember me, but in a fond way.. I would never want her to say "There was a Randhir in my life who used to love me and now he's gone.." I would make her say "There was a Randhir in my life who taught me how to smile and he ll be in my heart forever" I won't be there with her physically, I wouldn't be able to touch her, caress her, kiss her but I ll always be there, closer than her shadow.. When I leave this world, the last thing I would like to see is her smile.. I ll always be the reason for her smile.." He kicked his bike and was on his way to FITE..
Sanyukta was lying on her bed, with a shy smile on her face.. Rain, always reminded her of her first date with Randhir when he proposed her.. From then on, it had been a fairytale journey for both of them.. Never in her dreams, had she thought she would fall in love with a human being.. But then, it happened.. Couple of years back, had someone told her that she would fall in love with a guy like Randhir, she would have laughed at them.. Randhir and love, no way, would have been her answer. But even that happened.. She was just not in love with him.. She was truly madly deeply in love with him.. Randhir had sculpted a perfect love story more beautiful than a Cinderella story.. She was nothing less than a princess in his kingdom.. Thoughts about Randhir always brought a wide smile in her face and it was no different that night as well.. Suddenly she was missing him so much.. She powered on her laptop, the next moment he appeared in front of her in the form of her wallpaper.. "Randhir kaha ho tum? I really miss you.. I really miss the way you tease me, the way you call me San.." Before she could finish, she heard someone calling "Sanyukta.." She was astonished..
"Wow My love has reached eternity.. I could hear him calling me even though he isn't here.." She wondered and the voice was audible again "Sanyuktaaa...!" It emerged through the window.. She rushed to window sill and peeped down.. It was HIM.. Her Randhir.. She was so happy to see him there.. It was such an ethereal sight to watch.. He could spend thousands of years waiting, just to see her smile.. "Randhir tum aa Gaye? And baarish me Akele Akele beeg rahe ho? How mean! Ruko mein bhi aati hu.." She at once hurried downstairs.. She loved getting wet in the rain, especially when he was by her side.. She came down to find a still Randhir.. "Randhir tumhe kisine dare diya kya? Aise kyu khade ho?" She teased and laughed at her own joke.. His lips curved up seeing her smile.. He widened his hands in the air and looked at her deeply.. She at once rushed to him, "Yeh kya? Titanic hero ke tarah khade ho? Mujhe bhi banna hai Rose.." She widened her arms and stood in the same position as Randhir, rested her back on his chest and giggled... She was in quite a funny mood.. She looked at Randhir "Maza aa raha hai na Randhir?" He nodded in a yes.. "Bahut..!" She repeated what he said.. "Ha bahuttt..!" At that moment, a lightning flashed making the night look like a day.. Her face was Angelic.. Randhir's tears flew from his eyes, sailed through his cheeks and reached for her arms.. She had closed her eyes.. He pulled her close and placed his chin on her right shoulder.. She turned sideways to look at him.. He placed a kiss on her shoulder.. "Randhirrr.." She called.. He turned her towards him "Sssshh..!" He placed his finger on her lips and leaned closer.. "Randhir kya kar rahe ho?" She asked as if she wasn't aware what was he upto.. He pulled her more close and reached for her lips.. "Baarish ho rahi hai na.. Hamare record ko tutne kaise deta mein.." He covered her lips with his.. She closed her eyes more tight, he opened his eyes to check his Angel's face.. He wanted to keep track of each and every moment they spent together, how she looked like when she was happy, how does her face look like when they kissed.. Had it been possible, he would have arrested his eye lids and kept his eyes open so as to not miss her face even a single second..
Tears now flew more, but this time it was due to the happiness he was experiencing.. Sanyukta opened her eyes to find Randhir engrossed in her.. She pulled herself away a bit, "Randhir tum ro kyu rahe ho?" He was stunned to hear that from her.. How could she see his tears even in rain.. He pulled away too.. "Nai toh.. It's the raindrops.." He denied.. "Don't try to act too smart.. I can differentiate the rain drops from your tear drops.." Randhir realised there isn't a way out now.. "Arey something went into my eyes.. Aur Kuch nai.. Tum Dekho toh.." He showed her his right eye.. She peeped in and removed the dirt that was there in his eye.. "Haa Kuch tha tumhare Aankhon me.. Ab thik ho Gaya.." She smiled..
"Kash Itni aasani se Sab thik ho jaata.. Kaash.." He wiped away the last tear from his eyes.. "Sanyukta ab Bahut der ho Gaya hai.. You need to go to bed.. I ll meet you tomorrow.." He waved a bye.. She took two steps forward and looked back.. He was still smiling at her.. She rushed to his arms and gave him a tight hug.. "I love you Randhir.." She blushed.. "I love you too, no 3 no no 4 noooooo it actually tends to infinity.." He smiled back..
Randhir watched her leave his hand and proceed towards her hostel.. Every forward step she took, it was as if someone was taking her away from him.. He so wanted to grab her hand back but stood there helpless.. The moment she was out of his sight, his expression changed.. "I am gonna miss you.. I am really gonna miss you Sanyukta.." This time even his tears had dried down.. All he could do was to stare at her window.. He realised that he should be away before she sees him again.. "I can't let her feel suspicious.." He rushed to his room.. Sanyukta peeped out to check if he is still there.. He was gone.. She went to bed with that smile on her face, which Randhir loved..
Two days later:
It was a fresh morning.. Alarm rang at 6 am.. Parth and Jiggy got ready and left to the classes at 7.. However, Randhir was still on his bed.. He had neither slept the whole night nor now.. A knock on his door, awakened him from his fake sleep at around 9 am.. "Randhir.." It was the hostel warden.. "Seems you have got some letters.. Go and collect it from my room.." Randhir nodded in a yes..
Randhir never concentrated on his clothes except for the time he had to face Sanyukta.. He never wanted her to feel suspicious.. He wanted to be a normal Randhir in front of her.. He got ready and reached the wardens room.. Peon handed over some letters to Randhir.. It was from the city hospital.. It was his reports.. "Shit.. They have sent this nonsense over here.." He collected the reports and rushed outside so as to not to create a scene over there.. "I need to dispose them as quickly as possible" he rushed outside the room only to dash with someone.. The reports fell down from his hands.. By the moment he could gather his control back and get up, the paper was already on the persons hands and he had already opened it.. "Ohhh.. So you've brain tumour!" He hushed..
Randhir's eyes widened to see the reports in Mr. Agarwal's hands..

Always Be Mine - Part 103

Randhir's bike had lost it's attitude, he had never driven his bike under 60 kmph.. But today something was different.. Doctors words kept ringing in his ears, it was hard for him to concentrate on his driving.. God knew how his bike was still on the go.. His hands were trembling, his eyes had gone red, his lips were dry.. All kinds of mixed emotions kept hitting him on and off.. How things could change within a span of 24 hours and that too so terribly? Last evening was nothing less than a beautiful dream, he had spent every bit of it admiring his love, he had lost himself and found a new "HIM" in her eyes, but this evening was more than a worse nightmare, her same eyes that would drive him crazy any day, was haunting him badly.. It was as if she was throwing a lot of unanswerable questions at him.. "Will you leave me alone too, just like others?" She had once asked, hugging him tight, teary-eyed.. He had tightened his grip on her, assuring "Never ever..!" Things were quite different then.. What if she asked the same question to me again now? Her image appeared in the middle of the road.. This time, she was weeping even more.. "Randhir you ll not leave me na? You have promised not to, remember?" Her voice seemed tensed.. It triggered something inside the silent Randhir.. He roared... "Nooooooo...!" And his bike came to a halt.. He was badly sweating.. His heart had almost reached his mouth..
All the moments he had spent with her kept rolling in front of his eyes.. His lips could curve up automatically when her image flashes in his memory, however that would get over shadowed by the Doctors words.. "You have a tumour in your brain.. I am sorry to say, it's the last stage.. We can treat you to delay the inevitable but not stop it altogether.. I am really sorry to say this.. You are serving your last days.. I am sorry young man!" he gulped..
The nurse followed Randhir all the way till outside.. She couldn't help staring at Randhir.. Such a young guy, was facing such a worse fate.. She had seen no many such instances in her service, but something about Randhir didn't let her treat him as one such patient.. He was young, daring and passionate.. He deserved to live, she felt.. "Randhir..!" She called.. He had turned deaf, it wasn't handle to deal with the hard truth that had just been slapped on his face.. She touched his shoulder, this time, pretty hard, letting the hanging tear from his right eyes, roll down his cheeks.. He looked at her, his eyes fixed on her but mind and heart had reached FITE.. His heart was surrounding the bed, Sanyukta was lying on.. "Randhir.. Beta mujhe pata hai tumpe kya bith raha hoga.. Par please himmat mat haarna.. Believe in God.. Woh tumhe Kuch nai hone denge.. Kehne ke liye toh mein nurse hu par yakeen maano Aise Bahut saare cases dekha hai meine.. Phir se keh Rahi hu.. Tumhe Kuch nai hoga.. Tum thik ho jaoge" she said consoling words on her part.. Nothing seemed to have entered Randhir's ear chords.. He had removed her hand from his shoulders and walked back to his bike.. What happened after that, was something he never remembered..
Randhir got off his bike midway.. He suddenly found it very hard to breathe.. It was as if someone was choking him.. He turned back t face the way he had travelled.. He looked up the skies.. Why life is so unfair to him? Initially it was him, suffering due to others.. Now he would be the cause for someone's suffering.. That too, his sweetheart's.. He wouldn't dare hurt her any day.. "God.. Can't I live for few more years? Say, 50? Nah.. Say 45? Okay.. I won't be greedy.. I want to live, exactly till the second she breathes.. That's it.. Fair deal right? Can't you grant me that? Look, this ll be the last favour I ll ever be asking you.. Pleaseee..!" He was down to the ground, on his knees, crying.. It had started to drizzle.. Drizzle converted into a mild shower, soaking him in his sorrow.. "What will you do without me Sanyukta? Tumhe toh mere bina Ek task complete Karne ke bhi aadat nai hai.. Phir kaise rahogi tum mere bina puri zindagi? Kaise? No.. I am letting you spend your life alone.. I am not going to spare you so easily.. Never.." He pulled his mobile out and typed Www.google.com. Google's home page sprung open.. He typed "How to make someone live happily even after you die?" Google as usual flashed with a 16 page result.. Any other guy in that situation would have typed "How to survive Brain tumour?" But Randhir was different.. He was not some random ordinary guy, he was different, damn different.. His eyes kept searching for a suitable result but all of them were irrelevant suggestions.. His phone rung, it said "Jeene ki Wajah" calling, flashing Sanyukta's image..
Randhir's hands hadn't trembled so far.. Not even during the toughest of the toughest situation but today his fingers were trembling.. His heart and mind were fighting over the fact whether to pick the call or not.. Finally his heart said "Randhir pick it up.. What if it's an emergency? What if she is in some kind of trouble?" He picked it up at once, shutting his mind off.. "Hello Sanyukta.. Tum thik ho na?" Sanyukta smiled at the other end.. "Of course mein thik hu.. Par pati dev aap kaha chale Gaye?" She questioned him.. He breathed a sigh of relief.. "Mein.. I just came out to buy some raw material.. I ll be back soon.. Tumhe Kuch chahiye kya?" He tried to sound normal.. "Haan.. Chahiye na.. Mausam dekha? It's raining.. Yaad hai, jab bhi baarish hota hai, tab hum kya karte hai?" She blushed.. Her blush was evident in her voice.. He pretended to have forgotten about it.. "Kya karte hai?" He asked back.. Pat came the reply "Buddhu.. Kiss karte hai aur kya? Chalo Jaldi aa jao I feel like seeing you.." His mobile escaped his fingers and fell down in rain..
"It ll be raining even after I die.. Tab tum kya karogi Sanyukta?" He fell down weeping.. His loud cries were echoing everywhere and the mild showers had turned into a storm, but the intensity of it was much lesser than the storm that was going on inside Randhir's heart..

Always Be Mine - Part 102

Randhir's bike was racing at 60 kmph, thus disturbing the silent atmosphere of that night.. He was sweating ferociously, his mind was occupied by a set of thoughts that wouldn't let him calm for days together. "What has happened to me today? What has changed all of a sudden? Is something really serious?" his heart threw so many questions at him, to which he had no answers or probably he was driving his way towards those answers.
His bike stopped at a place, that read "24/7 hospital". He had come all the way till Delhi in search of a hospital mainly because of the unusual time.. He jumped from his bike and parked it in a corner.. On his way inside, he quickly glanced at his watch.. It read 4 AM.. "Damn! I have been driving for a long time" he cursed his memory for a second, next second he smiled coz it had remembered only what he wanted to remember "His Sanyukta".. She was all he wanted to occupy his memory, mind, body and soul and rightly she had occupied every bit of him.. Randhir was profusely sweating, and struggled to complete his breath.. He caught hold of a nurse and quickly explained her, his situation.. She was quick enough to get him admitted.. "No No I don't wanna get admitted. Just check whats wrong and fix it as soon as possible.. I have been sweating a lot lately" Randhir ordered, the Engineer inside him spoke aloud.. Nurse gave him a loud stare when he said "Fix it asap".. "You aint a bike that's come in for service Mister, Get that! You have got some problem, you need to get admitted, we need to perform some tests on you.. Only then, we will be able to treat you" she quickly pulled a needle and injected it in his veins, thus drawing some considerable amount of blood from his body.. "Ouch" he jumped.. She removed the needle, sent it for tests and rubbed his bleeding vein with cotton..."I need to leave soon.. When can I expect the result?" Randhir hurried... She wiped his sweat, handed him few tissues and wrote something in a long prescription.. "Get these medicines from the store.. You can check back in the evening.. Your results would be ready by then.. Don't worry you ll be alright" she consoled him.. He wasn't interested at all in anything what she said "Fine.. I ll be back by 5 to collect the reports" he rushed out after paying the initial amount.. Randhir grabbed the medicine from the store and swallowed it hurriedly.. Kick started his bike and made his way quickly towards FITE.. He had to reach before someone could spot his absence. That medicine, seemed to have provided a quick relief, his sweat vanished in a while and his head seemed fine as well.. "Nothing to worry Randhir.. You ll be okay.. You better be okay.." he consoled himself..
By the time, Randhir reached FITE it was already 5.30... "I just hope Parth isn't awake by now" he prayed silently as he did not want anybody around him to know what was happening with him before he himself wasn't sure.. Randhir slowly peaked inside his room, to find Parth and Jiggy lying just the way they were when he had left.. "Thank God, my buddies are still asleep..All thanks to Avanti Mam for the last eve's party.. Had they found me missing, I would have to lie to them unnecessarily.." Randhir slowly sneaked inside his blanket and covered himself up completely.. Only God knows, what happened the next moment.. All one could hear was a loud snore erupting out of his blanket.. He had fallen asleep within no time.. Last night's travel had taken its toll on him.. There existed an unusual silence in the room, probably the one that prevails before storm..
Next Morning 7 AM:
"Randhir bhai uto na... " Randhir slowly opened his eyes to the familiar shrieks of Jiggy.. "Aaj Vardhan sir aur Avanti Mam ka joint lecture hai.. I don't wanna miss it.. Its gonna be fun.." he giggled.. Yeah, he had every reason to giggle.. These days, Vardhan sir had become a treat to watch.. With Avanti Mam by his side, his kadoos smirks have been replaced by his killer smirks now.. The way, she looks at him, right into his eyes, making him shift his focus to something else, that's something the students of FITE have never witnessed.. It was quite a sight to watch Vardhan sir's lip take a curve, and his eyes find an excuse to avoid meeting hers, his silent smirks, quite giggles and his cute blush, was a visual treat to one's eyes.. He always likes to mess around with people but look at what love has done to him.. These days, he simply messes with himself.. That's the change love can bring in one's life.. So what he had already fallen in love with someone.. It isn't necessary to stick to your past and drive away your present.. Everybody deserves a second chance.. Prof. Vardhan is one gem of a person and he deserves a second chance. Jiggy failed in his attempt to wake up Randhir, so he rushed out without wasting anymore time, while Parth followed him with a smile "Rukh Jiggy mein bhi aata hun.."
Once Randhir heard the footsteps getting away from him, he shuffled his blanket and woke up holding his head tight.. That injection's effect seemed to have faded away.. His head was bursting yet again.. He glanced at the wall clock that showed " 7.30 AM".. He lay back in his bed, closing his eyes, all he could see in front of his eyes was his love, his Sanyukta.. "Its been more than 12 hours since I saw her last.. Such an insensitive and irresponsible husband I am.. I have to get to class atleast to see her.. She ll be worried if I don't turn up" he sprung up the next moment.. "I am cominnggg..." he got ready in less than 5 mins, grabbed some random book and rushed to class.. By the window side, he caught her glimpse.. She was waiting for someone and he know who that someone would be.. Randhir hid himself behind the window, bent his head down, shuffled his hair and pulled it up in a Jiffy, thus setting his hair in a perfect manner.. Only he knows, how it works for him so perfectly all the time. His head was bursting as usual, but he hurried into the classroom, wearing a slight smile.. "May I come in sir?" he asked.. Vardhan nodded his head and let him in.. Randhir waved his hand at his love slightly so as not to disturb the class and she waved back.. Sanyukta let out a sigh of relief after looking at Randhir, he seemed normal..
Vardhan was busy explaining a particular topic about car engines while Avanti was letting her eye gaze him from top to bottom.. He was never a kind who would stammer in the middle of a lecture but that day he did.. Her gaze didnt let him concentrate at all.. He kept coughing and sniffing.. All the students were having a Gala time watching their favorite professor in the clutch of love.. One of them stood up to ask something about the topic that was being discussed.. "Sir I have a doubt.. How much power input is required to operate this engine?" Question went above Vardhan's head instead of heading into his ears.. He kept looking at Avanti, she winked at him.. He stammered "The answer to your question is.." he just couldn't take his eyes off her.. She leaned towards him "You are too hot" she winked again.. "You are too hot" he repeated it as if it was the answer.. "Sir me?" the student seemed confused.. Vardhan came out of his trance at once and realized what he had just said "I mean, you are "not".. You are not allowed to ask questions during my lecture.. I ll clear your doubts once I finish.." he somehow managed to handle the situation.. At the corner of his eyes, he saw Avanti smiling naughtily at him.. "Lectures over.. Your mam will take it over from here" he adjusted his specs and left the place in a Jiffy.. He sticked himself to a wall "Vardhan.. Whats wrong? You can't let her dominate you like this.. You just can't.. What has happened to you?" he whispered.. "The answer is Avanti.. Avanti has happened to you Mr. Vardhan.. Be smart and accept it.." she smiled.. "No way.. May be in your dreams" he said it in a hurry and left the place without looking back.. But he knew, somewhere down his heart, she was sitting prettily like a queen.. She was ruling a part of his heart, soon she would be ruling him all over.. Avanti gazed at the Stubborn Vardhan, with a smile in her lips.. "Not only in my dreams, soon it would be a reality Professor.."
Randhir's mind was racing, while he still managed to match his smile with Sanyukta.. She signalled "All okay?" and he replied back with a thumbs up.. That brought a cute innocent smile on her face, making him forget all the pains he had whatsoever.. They had only half a days lecture that day.. Randhir continued to flash a smile whenever she looked at him but made sure not to overdo it as he is very much aware of her smartness.. Anything above the daily dose would make her suspect him.. Hence, he chose to play it simple... "Randhir.. Shall we go out in the evening? I would like to spend some time with you, alone" she held his hand.. Randhir gently avoided "Sanyukta.. I have some work that needs to be taken care of today.. Shall we go tomorrow?" She seemed disappointed but agreed.. "Par kaha jaa rahe ho?" she asked, while Vidushi pulled her hand "Sanyukta I need to have this chapter covered today and you are gonna help me.. Chalo.. Randhir is your husband ab bhi usse boy friend ke tarah treat karna band kar do.. Kahi nahi bhagega woh" she dragged Sanyukta away from Randhir before she could finish her sentence.. Randhir let out a sigh of relief.. Its harder to lie to her and its even more harder to face her after lying.. He immediately rushed to his room to find Parth immersed in his laptop.. He was browsing something related to Engineering... Randhir's phone rang.. It was the nurse at the other end.. "Randhir... Your reports are ready. You may collect them this evening at 5" she hung up...
"I have to get out of here now.. But I can't lie to Parth.. He would ask me so many questions.. I need to somehow escape his eyes.." Randhir decided.. "Parth.." He called.. "Ha Randhir.."
"Woh ladki jo first year me aayi hai, kya naam hai Uski?" Randhir asked..
"Kaun Randhir? Anushka?"
"Nai yaar.. Woh 6 foot wali.."
"Oh woh.. Uska naam Ananya hai.. Why are you asking about her? Kuch hua hai kya?"
"Jab bhi mein usko Dekhta hu na Kuch Kuch ho jaata hai yar.. Uski recent FB profile pic dekha tu ne? Mast pic hai yaar.." Randhir teased..
"Ahhhh Sachi? Miss kar diya meine.. Abhi Dekhta hu..."
Parth sprung up and opened her profile.. Not that he was drooling it's just out of the curiosity that Randhir had created about her pic.. While Parth was browsing, Randhir pulled out his phone and dropped a message to Vidushi.. "Vids.. Your life is in serious trouble.. Parth is busy with his laptop drooling over some random girl.. Need to take preventive action immediately. Walk into my room ASAP.."
Parth screamed.. "Randhir yahi pic ke baare me baat kar rahe ho na..? Sach me Bahut hot hai yar.. Kitni sundar kudi hai.." He had just finished that sentence, and screamed loud "Ahhhh" someone was screwing his ears.. Parth's jaw dropped when he saw Vidushi over there in a Maa kali avtar.. "Hot hai? Ek baar bhi mujhe dekhke tum ne yeh baat nai kaha.. Par kisi aur ladki tumhe hot lag Rahi hai.. How dare you!!!" She squealed..
"Vidushi Randhir ki Wajah se hi meine yeh profile khola.. Kasam se I didn't mean to see her pic.." He managed to speak while screaming in pain.. Vidushi screwed his ears more.. "You were drooling over her and upar se Randhir ko blame kar rahe ho.. He was the one who saved me.. Besharam, Kuch toh sharam karo.. He is married and committed to Sanyukta.. Tumhare tarah majnu nai hai woh.. Samjha na...! Aaj Teko bataungi "HOT"kisse kehte hai.." She unveiled something she had hidden in her right hand.. Parth's eyes popped out seeing the thing in her hand.. It was a burning hot iron rod "This is called HOT and you ll feel the hotness today Mr Kashyap.." She gave a evil look.. Parth jumped down from his bed and ran out of his room, followed by a furious Vidushi.. Randhir smiled at the cute fights of these two.. "Bahut hot tha woh rod Sach me.. Hope Parth is okay when I return.. Baba ji Parth ko bachana Vidushi ke haaton se.."
Randhir picked his bike keys and rushed out of his room, in the next 5 mins he was on his way to Delhi.. His head seemed perfectly okay now.. But any moment, that severe pan would come back to haunt him.. Randhir parked his bike outside and ran inside, he stopped after seeing a familiar face, it was the nurse he had met that morning.. "Sister.. Hmmm.. Randhir.. You had asked me to come and collect the reports.." That nurse gave him a weird look, it was nowhere close to the look she had given him that very same morning.. There was some difference, something had changed, but he had no idea what it was.. "This way.." She held his hand and got him inside the doctors room.. Doctor was middle aged man.. He was examining something deeply.. Even the knock at his door could not disturb him.." Doctor.. He is here.." That was all she said.. Doctor himself came upto Randhir and offered him a seat.. "Sit down Randhir.."
Randhir's heart started to panic.. Nurse just said "He is here.." But he recognised him as Randhir.. "Doctor what's happening? Is everything okay?" Randhir hurried..
"You've got someone with you or have you come in alone?" Doctor asked making him feel more furious.. "Doctor I have come here all alone.. Whatever it is, you can tell me.. Please, speak up"
"Sorry to say Mr.. Randhir.. You've been diagnosed with...." A lone tear escaped Randhir's eye, when the doctor finished.. His worse nightmare had become a reality.. "I can't leave her alone.. I can'tttttt...!" He screamed...
