Part 5:
At around 11 PM, in the night Randhir entered the house, he didn't have to break in, as he had the keys.. He was completely sweating... He had never done something like this in the past, but he was left with no option... Once he entered into the house, he locked the door from behind... He looked into each and every room, he pulled out his torch and was continuously scanning all the rooms when finally, he came across a locker.. His breathing became unusual..
"This is it.. I am going to break the case.. Take only what I require and leave the place.. It might take a week for them to return.. Once Parth arranges the remaining amount I would silently replace what I had taken..! Nobody would even come to know that I did this..!" He decided..
Being a Mechanical Engineer, by profession it didn't take much time for him to open the case.. He carefully opened it without making any noise, constantly keeping an eye on the surroundings.. As expected, there were lots of money and jewels.. He opened his bag, carefully counted the money and took only what was required 5 lacs, after all he wasn't a thief.. He closed the locker and made it appear normal. Anyone who would happen to see the locker now would not even know that such a thing had happened.. Such was his perfection of work! Randhir left the place slowly, and locked it from outside as before.. He looked all the sides once again to make sure there weren't any CCTV cameras installed...
Randhir kick started his bike, rushed to the hospital and paid the remaining amount.. He got the receipt and went to see the Doc.. Aditya wasn't there in his room.. Randhir decided to meet him later and proceeded towards his love.. He wanted to tell her the good news.. She deserved to live more than anybody else in the world..
Randhir, was about to enter the room, but stopped.. He felt something strange.. He peeked inside the room, that was slightly open.. The sight he saw, made him numb... Aditya was in her room, hugging her... He forced his mind to think straight and barged inside the room as if he had witnessed nothing.. She saw Randhir coming, released Adi from the hug and rushed into Randhir's arms, crying....
"Arey kya hua?!" Randhir murmured hugging her...
Aditya spoke up.. "She became emotional Randhir.. I told her the way you were trying to save her desperately.. I also explained her the situation she was in right now.. Coz it's important for the patient to know about her condition and have faith in the treatment that's been provided to her.. Otherwise no force in the world can save her, no matter how much money we spend..!"
Randhir instantly felt guilty for suspecting... He hugged her warmly.. She spoke, still sobbing, "Randhir don't do this.. I don't deserve you.. I knew it would cost so much that's why I never wanted to save myself nor trouble you.. Please don't do this.. You can save me today... But not forever.. I don't want to be a burden for you.. !" Randhir shook her by her shoulders to stop her from talking further... He looked at Adi, who was standing there, admiring their love.. "Doc if you could please excuse us?!"
"Oh yeah! I am sorry.. Randhir do come and meet me after a while.. I would like to talk to you..!" Adi left..
Once he left, Randhir slowly made her sit in the bed, pulled a chair and sat beside her.. Tears were still flowing from her eyes.. He slowly wiped it.. "Dekho tum yeh Sab mat Socho... Nothing in this world is more precious to me than you.. You thought I would just leave you like that when I come to know this truth.. That's not Randhir.. That can never be Randhir.. So u just chill and suna na doc ne kya kaha! U have to trust yourself and keep faith.. I ll just go meet him and come back! You take care!" He patted her back and turned to leave.. Stopped, turned towards her "Ek smile do na please..!" She smiled and that made him forget everything.. He left the room cheerfully...
Doctor confirmed that the treatment has already been started, he also said that she would get better now.. Randhir hugged him once and thanked him.. He left the hospital, as he couldn't stay there anymore.. Visitors were not allowed in the hospital after certain time..
Randhir reached his apartment, when he walked past that flat, he felt something weird.. It gave him a sense of fear.. He didn't wanna think any further.. He went inside his house and retired in his bed...
He had just fallen asleep, and the doorbell rang... It was almost 1 AM... Randhir got up with a jerk, when he opened the door, his heart stopped for a moment seeing the person who was standing there... It was a police inspector.. Two cops were emerging out of the flat(he had barged in)... The inspector spoke... "All the money and jewels in the house have been stolen.. You are under arrest...!"
Randhir stood there, totally numb...
