Randhir could hardly sleep that night, so was Sanyukta.. They had conveniently forgotten the fact that they were awaiting a punishment the next morning. It was like "Punishment se dar nai lagta sahab pyaar se lagta hai!!"
Randhir was lying in his bed, he had occupied the utmost corner of the bed, he was lying as if he could fall down anytime. Rest of the place, was completely occupied by his Mobile. He was continuously staring at it. He wished it would beep anytime, flashing the pic of his Sanyukta. She so wanted to call him. But then, she loved even this silent romance. She knew he would be thinking of her, he knew she would be thinking about him, nothing more was needed. Even words will not be able to express the love they were feeling for each other right now. Sanyukta remembered the magical evening that they spent together.. Bike ride, hug, kiss and the proposal, it was pure bliss.. She smiled thinking about the way he proposed her, he laughed out loud thinking about the lame excuse she gave Parth..
His loud laughter almost frightened Jiggy who was lying on the adjacent bed.. "Yeh Randhir bhai ko kya ho Gaya hai? Baarish me bhigne se koi pagal ho sakta hai kya? Randhir bhai aap thik ho na!" Jiggy whispered, pat came the voice "Jiggy chup chap so jao warna tumhara halat karab ho jayega..!!" That was all needed for already frightened Jiggy, he pulled himself into the bedsheet.. "Muh band karke so jao Jignesh.. Warna pitega tu Randhir bhai se" he warned himself..
Sanyukta could not hold herself away from the phone, she knew she had fallen in love with one of the worst romantic person in the world. "Machine se pyaar karogi toh use operate b tumhe hi karna padega sanyukta!" her heart warned.. She picked up her phone that was placed in the side table, dialed his number and disconnected it the next moment.."Mein call kyun karun? MCP ko... Text hi kar leti hu.."
She carefully typed the message..
"Hello.. Koi hai?" Randhir's eyes flashed seeing his mobile popup "Text from "Tumhari Jeene Ka wajah" Ahh finally she did text me.. Randhir jumped in joy, landed up falling on the floor with a oud thud and screamed "Ahhh" Parth woke up with a sudden jerk.. "Randhir kya hua? Uto.. Tum thik toh ho na?" Parth helped him get up..Randhir stood up with his hands holding his waist, it must have definitely hurt him. Randhir said "Mein thik hun Parth.. Tum jao so jao.. "
Parth asked him "Par tum ghire kaise?"
"Woh bura sapna dekha tha.. Isliye shayad.." Randhir tried to sound normal.
"Hmmm samaj sakta hu mein.. Vidushi ka close up dekha tha na isliye hua hoga... Chal koi baat nai so jao" Parth sounded serious.. It seemed as if he had been having nightmares, Courtesy:Vidushi and her makeup.
As soon as Parth went to his bed, Randhir quickly fell on his bed, pulled the bed sheet till his head, covered him completely so that the light could not escape. Carefully opened the text message that read "Hello Koi hai?" He replied and their convo as follows..
"Koi nai hai yahan.."
"Koi nai ? Toh fir kaun reply de raha hai mujhe?"
"Mere tan! Kyun ki man aur dil dono wahan aapke paas jo hai"
Sanyukta loved his reply.. "Hmmmm not bad haan.. My MCP is becoming a bit romantic.. "she thought
"Ache se khyal rakhungi aapke dil aur man ka..Aap fikar mat kijiye.. "
"Woh toh pata hai.. Waise kar kya rahe ho aap? Aur kal ka kya plan? Kahi bahar chale?"
"Kal ka kya plann??? Budhu, kal punishment hai bhul gaye kya?"
"Punishment chaddo ji.. Tussi kuch aur kaho.. Tumhare liye mujhse pyaar karne se zyada toh koi aur punishment ho hi nai sakta.. Isliye dont worry.. Jo b hoga dekha jayega.. Mein hu na tumhare saath"
Sanyukta loved the way, he was trying to pacify her. He made her realize she wasnt alone and will never be alone.
Sanyukta and Randhir were long lost in their convo.. Time flew, 1 AM, 2 AM, 3 AM .. Finally they both fell asleep unknowingly.. Alarm went off at 5 AM.. Randhir and Sanyukta both woke up with a sudden jerk.. It was as if they had slept only 10 mins back, it indeed was the truth. Still they couldnt afford to waste anymore time.. They had to be in the lab sharp at 6 AM.. Vardhan sir doesnt like Late comers, he infact hates them.
Sanyukta took urgent bath, put on some random clothes and rushed out of her room.. Randhir did the same and went running out of the room. They both reached the Mechanical Lab exactly at 6 AM. No matter what, Vardhan sir was such a perfectionist. He was already there, standing tall, hands folded, ready to welcome them..
"Guys, welcome! You are a minute late!" he said.. Nobody in the world could please Prof. Vardhan. Its a tough task, almost a mission impossible. He could easily make out from the look of it, that they hadnt slept last night. He hates it when someone disobeys him. He is a mentor who can go all the way to help his students, but not always. Today was one such day.. Prof. Vardhan stared them both as if he could swallow them any moment.
Randhir went forward to apologize "Sorry Sirr.." Vardhan stopped him by raising his hand..
"Randhir I dont need your sorry.. I am awaiting someone.. Let them come first. Once they come, We ll go ahead with the punishment" he said in a firm tone..
Sanyukta and Randhir exchanged a confused look.. In another 15 mins, one by one whole Dream Team made its way into the Lab. Randhir was more perplexed to see them all, "Yeh Kya hai Randhir, Vardhan sir aisa kya punishment dene wale hai hume, woh b poore team ke saamne?"
Randhir had no idea about the punishment.. All he knew was something bad was about to happen for sure.. He could sense something fishy.
When Prof. Vardhan started to speak, Sanyukta's face turned pale.. That was the worst punishment someone could ever give to her.. WORST PUNISHMENT !
